Does “Quit My 9 to 5″ Work?
When I first took a look at ‘Quit My 9 to 5‘ I have to admit I was skeptical. Who wouldn’t be with a name like that, especially after so many affiliate marketing products out there which promise the earth and deliver nothing, well close to nothing anyway.
They all seem to have one thing in common. They give you only a few pieces of a giant jigsaw so that you never quite learn enough to be able to repeat the same successes as the vendors themselves. Sound familiar? Quit My 9 to 5 promised to be different so we thought we’d take a look.
For a start my guard softened a bit with the distinct absence of upsells which seem to accompany internet marketing products these days, although I still noted a air of scarcity in the sales approach. It’s not difficult to calculate roughly how many of these are being sold so why bother to say there’s a limit which is obviously far less than what are actually being sold?
On top of that given the price less disbursements, why would the developers go to the trouble of building a product which must have taken many weeks (or months) to put together for such a small return. After all, they are making over $20,000 a day right?
Internet marketers know that by adding scarcity it encourages sales, and upsells always work better when the buyer has their credit card already out from a previous payment. Heck the tactic works offline as well. How many times have you bought more than you intended to when you were at point of sale?
Anyway, sales and marketing tactics aside, it seems we have become desensitized to such things any how, the sale and after-sales process went smoothly on (almost) instantly.
After payment you are sent a receipt email which includes your username (the email used for your purchase) and a password. You use these to access the private member website where you find the training videos, support forum product lists, traffic sources and the “software” you use to create your ad campaigns.
The “software” is in inverted commas because let’s face it, it’s not really a software as we would normally define one. It’s really a series of scripts on the website which allow users to enter their product of choice, advert preferences, and the scripts churn out an ad campaign which can be plugged into the various ‘traffic sources’.
Some would argue that is still a software, but our normal definition of software is something you install on your computer. Semantics aside, it does what it is suppose to do, and that is to give you a ready made advert which you can then post to the suggested traffic sources.
The traffic sources themselves are nothing magical or mystical, especially for those of use who have been in this industry for long enough. For those who are new to internet marketing then this would be a very valuable part of the course work. How to find the right target markets for the products you choose to promote.
One thing’s for sure, and they are correct in the training part, if you don’t hit the bullseye in an ad campaign you won’t find it profitable. You need a direct hit each time. That’s true also for the free traffic sources if you consider the time you spend working on it as having a dollar value.
Finally the products they suggest to promote are very clever indeed. As well as the usual relatively low priced Clickbank type products there are a bunch of high priced items which pay a great commission (several thousand dollars) for each and every sale.
It’s important to point out here that despite what they say in the sales page you won’t sell three of these an hour, but even one a month would make a big difference to anyone’s pocket. Perhaps you can sell more, but in our opinion you’d need to have stumbled on some ‘X’ factor in order to do so.
Here’s a quick synopsis of what’s included in the video tutorials:
Video 1: Covers some of the fundamentals of internet marketing that everyone needs to be aware of. Experienced IM’ers will find this old hat although it never hurts to go trhough it again to make sure you haven’t missed anything important.
Video 2: Shows you footage of the built in campaigns actually running and making money. At the very least you’ll be able to see how and why these work when yours haven’t.
Video 3: Talks about expanding what works and leaving behind what doesn’t. Despite the amount of work you may have done previously, if something isn’t working then scrap it and move on.
Video 4: Some of the Web 2.0 sites like Twitter and Facebook have been driving targeted traffic to websites for some time now. Unfortunately it doesn’t convert well unless you deploy a few keen eyed tactics.
Video 5: It seems it’s just as hard (or easy) to sell cheap products as it is to sell expensive ones, so if you’re going to sell products why not go for ones which pay BIG commissions? Video 5 explains the concept and what you need to do.
Video 6: The best type of converting traffic is the one which is searching for a specific product to buy. The only place this happens is in the search engines. Video 6 explains what you need to do to dominate the search engine results page for the product you’re promoting.
Video 7: One of the best places to get exposure and traffic for your inbound links is from forums, especially forums on websites with high Google ‘trustrank’. Video 7 goes through how to capitalize on this valuable traffic source.
Video 8: Some internet marketers use offline (printed) publications to promote online products such as newspaper and magazine classified ads. Video 8 covers this in detail as somewhere you could explore if the product you are promoting could work in that environment.
Video 9: Clickbank has a huge list of downloadable products for internet marketers to choose from. Although they are lower priced items and webpage with a reasonable amount of traffic could easily capitalize on that if the product being promoted is matched properly with what the traffic is looking for.
Video 10: Getting setup is just the first part. After that you need to refine, tweak and expand. Rinse and repeat is the oder of the day for Video 10.
So in an answer to “Does Quit My 9 to 5 Work?”, yes it does. You will make money from using this product but as with all courses like this you need to put in the time and effort to understand it and then carry it out. If you’re looking for a get-rich-quick-scheme which requires no effort on your part then I’m afraid the old adage “put nothing in and nothing will come out” applies to this like any other.

Is Quit My 9 to 5 A Scam?
We do get a lot of searches for this which would indicate that there is a lot of mistrust out there when it comes to the “Quit My 9 To 5″ product.
Quite understandable if you consider the product name keyword receives a fair number of searches in itself from those wanting to do just that. Heck, there must be a billion people out there who want to quit their office job for the freedoms promised by internet marketing, in particular affiliate sales.
Is it a scam? Well, you get access to a private website, you get to use the software, product lists, traffic sources and as promised there are ten video training sessions (one of them close to an hour long). If the definition of a scam is “A fraudulent business scheme; a swindle” (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/scam) then by definition a scam it is not.
However we believe when people search to see if a product is a scam or not, once they have dispelled the obvious (dictionary definition) they are really looking to find out whether it is something they could do which works.
To be honest, too many internet marketing products are bought, put in to ‘To Do Tomorrow’ box and never again see the light of day. Some actually go through the training but shy away when it comes to taking the actions necessary. Some unfortunately are just too lazy or busy.
If you are prepared to put in the time and work necessary you will make money online and Quit My 9 To 5 to you will not be a scam. If you are like one of those in the paragraph above then you will not make money with it and you’ll forever label Quit My 9 to 5 as a scam. That’s the way human nature works, at least for the large majority.
One of the best ways to find out about a product is to find out how the majority feels. How many are sold? How many are returned or refunded? A product with a low refund rate would indicate people like it or find it value for money. A high refund rate would indicate the opposite, perhaps one to avoid.
Fortunately for us there is a way to find out.
Quit My 9 to 5 is sold via a company called Clickbank Inc. Clickbank allows some of the statistics of a product to be made available. The products refund rate is one of those statistics which although not directly available, can be calculated from the data which is available.
In the case of Quit My 9 To 5 the refund rate is calculated at 0.17% which equates to 17 per 1000 sales. This is considered very low (almost negligible) and would indicate a high level of customer satisfaction. Please note this figure does vary through time. The refund rate could go higher or lower. In fact the refund rate has been in the negative due to additional sales of upsells made from within the member’s area.
Finally, and for some most importantly, does it have a money back guarantee and will that guarantee work if called upon? For it to be not a scam then this must be true.
In this case we can safely say the money back guarantee is iron clad. The reason is this:
We mentioned before that the product is sold via a third party payment gateway, Clickbank Inc. Clickbank Inc. is a US registered company based in Boise, Idaho, and has been operating for several years at least. They have bricks and mortor offices, pay taxes and are growing steadily. The have a solid reputation and guard that reputation vehemently, and it is they who take care of refunds, not the vendor.
This is how it works. The vendor (in our case QuitMy9To5) lists their product on Clickbank and Clickbank takes the money for the sale. After a cooling off period and after taking fees and disbursements they pass the money onto the vendor. If a buyer puts in for a refund with the 60 day period, Clickbank pays the refund to the buyer on behalf of the vendor, then retains the refund from the vendor’s future sales.
You can read about Clickbank’s return policy by clicking the image below:
For those wanting to dig further before parting with their money on this product could do a background check however in this case the cost of the search would add a large percentage increase to their investment. In our own background sheck both Jennifer Somers and James Lewis turned up clean.
In answer to the question “Is Quit My 9 to 5 A Scam?” I believe we have proved beyond reasonable doubt that it is indeed not a scam, certainly not in the legal sense.

Quit My 9 to 5 Review
Quit My 9 to 5 has a flashy sales page, makes lots of promises of riches for very little work and uses what we would consider as slightly distasteful sales tactics, although not nearly as bad as others are or have been.
Will you get insanely rich in the next two weeks? No!
Will you start making a steady income without having to do anything except copy/paste? No!
Will you not have to understand internet marketing at all for this to work? No!
The fact is you can make this work if you go the distance and have confidence in the system and yourself. There are many ways to make money on the internet and this is just one of them. But it does work if you give yourself a chance.
In terms of price you get a lot for your $37. To be honest this is pretty much a bargain and the refund rate we showed above proves that most people agree with that, whether they have got it to work for them or not.
Will it work for you? The answer is you’ll never know unless you give it try. At $37 there is so much material to learn that the course itself is worth the money even if you don’t use the main part of the product, and that is the actual doing of what you have learned in the videos.
At the very least you have 60 days to do your own complete evaluation and if you don’t think it will work for you then you can get your money back. Just click on the link in your email receipt from Clickbank and you get automatically refunded. You don’t even need to give a reason if you don’t want to.
Nothing ventured nothing gained, and if you get your payment back then no money lost either. We’d say Quit My 9 to 5 is well worth the time, especially if you’re new to internet marketing. If you’re an old hat then perhaps there’s not a great deal to learn, but it will serve to update you on twists to old techniques and some new traffic sources you may not have thought of before. Well worth the $37.
We hope our Quit My 9 to 5 review will help you make an informed decision.
